Selection Guide.

Not sure what type of mat you need? Use this selection guide to narrow down your choices! You’ll need to know what your primary application is and what type of liquid you want to absorb. Ratings for each mat's absorbency and durability as well as other specs are included to further aid the decision-making process.

Consider the application:

  • Small leaks or drips: Choose a 1- or 2- ply absorbent
  • Larger spills, wiping or the presence of foot traffic: Choose a more durable 3-ply absorbent
  • Abrasive tasks: Choose an absorbent with a spunbond top layer to reduce linting or tearing
  • Mat construction: Check out the TechSpec on each mat presentation for details about mat construction

Determine the amount of liquid being absorbed:

lightweight-50x50 Lightweight: Small spill or slow drip
mediumweight-2-50x50 Mediumweight: Consistent leak or drip, medium spill
heavyweight-50x50 Heavyweight: Flowing leak or drip, large spill

Best used for: Oil- or water-based liquids, oils, coolants, solvents and water.

Best used on: Hydraulic oil, ethanol, gasoline, kerosene, water, mineral spirits, turpentine.
